Subject: | [CPEO-BIF] (CT) $14 million bonding for brownfields |
State bonding bill targets brownfields BY GARY O'CONNOR and JEAN PERRY PHILLIPS REPUBLICAN-AMERICAN 11/5/07 The General Assembly recently took another step toward cleaning up the state's brownfields by approving a $14 million bonding initiative over the next two years. The move began in this year's legislative session, when legislators passed a comprehensive brownfields program called "An Act Implementing the Recommendations of the Brownfields Task Force." The bill codifies many recommendations of the state Brownfields Task Force and adds greatly needed detail to Public Act 06-184, which began addressing the problem when it was passed last year.
