Housing project on golf course tabled The Grand Rapids Press (MI) November 29, 2007 DOUGLAS -- Plans to build a 125-unit development at West Shore Golf Course have been tabled by the city's Planning Commission until the developer, Paul Wicks, can meet a handful of criteria. Wicks and the company representing him, Driesenga & Associates, need to submit a report by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality that approves building on the land. Wicks said his attorney already has applied for this and he expects a response within 30 days. Part of the proposed development has been found to contain Trichloroethylene, or TCE, a chemical that can seep into houses as a gas and cause a variety of health problems. ...
