Pollution solution: Forum looks for contaminated sites By James Lomuscio Stamford Advocate (CT) February 12, 2008 NORWALK - Michael Moore of the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency said there may be as many as 262 brownfields in the city because of its industrial past. Armed with $400,000 in federal Environmental Protection Agency grants to assess different properties, Moore and environmental scientist Amy Czerwonka held a public information forum yesterday at police headquarters. "We're doing an extended event with a focus on the progress of the Norwalk Brownfields Initiative," said Moore, the local agency's senior community development project manager. "The purpose is to engage stakeholders, property owners and anyone with an interest in environmental issues here in Norwalk." ...
