Walgreens headed for Ford, Beech Daly

DEARBORN HEIGHTS - Construction will soon begin, weather permitting, on 
a new Walgreens, to be located at Ford Road and Beech Daly Road.

Shannon Shaya, a representative for the project's developer, Diamond 
Holdings, said it would take between 120-150 days to complete 
construction. He estimates completion in late July.

Carmine Oliverio, the director of the city's Tax Increment Finance 
Authority and Brownfield administrator, said both he and city council 
agreed the property should be approved for Brownfield consideration 
because it shows signs of contamination from the gas station and dry 
cleaners that were once on the property.
