5,000 new jobs in store at last Bethlehem Steel tract $500 million Majestic center would lease to national companies By Nicole Radzievich and Matt Assad Allentown Morning Call (PA) May 13, 2008More than a dozen years after Bethlehem Steel's blast furnaces shut down, billionaire developer Ed Roski Jr. promised Monday that he will bring up to 5,000 jobs to the Lehigh Valley as he redevelops the final 441-acre chunk of Steel land over the next six years. His proposed $500 million Majestic Bethlehem Center includes massive buildings -- up to a million square feet each -- that would be leased to national companies as early as next year.
