Corktown neighborhood townhouses move forward
$4-million plan targets working families with kids

A $4-million plan to build 18 market-rate townhouses in Detroit's North 
Corktown district won preliminary approval today from the city's 
Brownfield Redevelopment Authority.

Corktown Housing LLC, a nonprofit developer, plans to build the 
environmentally sensitive project just north of the I-75 service drive 
roughly between Wabash and Rosa Parks, not far from the old Tiger Stadium.
