Audioconference: BNA's EHS Division will host an
audioconference Oct. 29 titled "Brownfields Cleanup and
Redevelopment: The Next Generation." Panelists Charlie
Bartsch, vice president and senior fellow at ICF
International; Michael Goldstein, shareholder with Akerman
Senterfitt; and Larry Schnapf, special counsel with Schulte
Roth & Zabel LLP, will discuss legal and financial
impediments to the successful cleanup and redevelopment of
brownfield sites, innovative local and state approaches to
cleanup and redevelopment, how best to leverage funding for
brownfield deals, new issues—such as climate change,
renewable energy, and green building initiatives—likely to
affect site reuse, the impact of the financial crises on
transactions and redevelopment, and brownfield issues ripe
for federal legislative action under a new administration.
