Port sells 77 acres to FedEx Portland Business Journal (OR) October 16, 2008Two days after Daimler Trucks North America announced a plant closure that will cost the city 950 jobs, the Port of Portland signed a deal that could add 500 jobs to the local economy. At a luncheon Thursday, Bill Wyatt, the port's executive director, announced that FedEx has purchased 77 acres of the 700-acre Reynolds Industrial Site in Troutdale to build a new distribution center. ..."I believe it is the largest brownfield development in the history of the state," Wyatt said Thursday. ...
