Development on Kmart site gets boost from lawmakers By Terry Oparka C & G News December 3, 2008TROY - Pavilions of Troy, a $300 million mixed-use development that had stalled this fall, may be on again. The project is slated for the site of the former Kmart Headquarters at Coolidge and Big Beaver. The first phase of the 40-acre development will feature 475,000 square feet of retail and 140 units of rental or condominium units. Last week, the state Senate approved a bill that would allow the developer, Hunter Richardson, to apply for up to a $30 million tax credit to help with demolition costs. State representatives must approve the bill before the Senate adjourns for the holidays. ...
