Brownfield cleanup gets state approval By Samantha Sommer Springfield News Sun (OH) January 09, 2009Springfield, Ohio — The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has given its seal of approval to the city's cleanup of a downtown brownfield. The Ohio EPA has issued a covenant not to sue for the former Haucke complex, 301 to 339 E. Main St. and 14 to 16 S. Plum St. Under the covenant announced Friday, Jan. 9, the state agrees the site doesn't need further environmental cleaning and that it won't sue in the future. ...
