WL to test soil close to industrial location By MICHAEL MALIK Lafayette Journal and Courier (IN) July 26, 2009A site where potentially cancer-causing industrial solvents have contaminated soil and groundwater has West Lafayette city officials concerned. Within the next few weeks, city officials plan to hire a contractor to test soil samples near a contaminated area on the former CTS Microelectronics site near the intersection of Yeager Road and Montgomery Street. Officials from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management have confirmed they are overseeing cleanup at the former CTS Microelectronics site, where microelectronic circuits once were made. ....
