TCE found in 27 more buildings Endicott, Union homes affected By Tom Wilber Bingampton Press & Sun-Bulletin (NY) August 9, 2009After finding vapors from an underground plume of pollution permeating 27 more buildings in the Town of Union and Village of Endicott, state officials are installing more systems to keep out hazardous fumes. AdvertisementResults from testing earlier this year found 24 homes were affected in the June Street area, a residential neighborhood extending from Endicott's North Side into the Town of Union, according to information from the state Department of Environmental Conservation. Additionally, three homes tested positive in other areas of the Town of Union. They were among about 100 properties sampled last heating season throughout the town and the village. ...
