JDA proposes plan to clean up mill site By Ellen Robinson Camden County Tribune (GA) September 23, 2009The Joint Development Authority plans to begin marketing the former paper mill site with intentions to spur revitalization on what it called a trophy parcel in St. Marys. During the JDA meeting on Friday, executive director David Keating announced a newly formed partnership with the Durango Georgia Paper Company Estate trustee with the intentions of redeveloping the 750-acre waterfront site. He said the partnership will be networking to get more key players involved in the project in coming weeks. The JDA will be working with Mark Stickel, who is the liquidating trustee of the estate, along with others to recruit and attract private investment and advance the redevelopment plan. ...
