Senior housing planned at old industrial site By JIM McCONVILLE Asbury Park Press (NJ) November 3, 2009ABERDEEN - Long-touted plans to redevelop the township's former South River Metals site into senior housing are now a few steps closer to becoming a reality, township officials said. Those steps include PRC Group of West Long Branch agreeing to team up with Penrose Properties, Philadelphia, to co-develop the property, Aberdeen engineer David J. Samuel said. The companies will build an affordable senior community and an expanded recreation center for Aberdeen seniors, said Samuel, who is also managing partner of CME Associates. The plan calls for building 198 senior apartments, along with the community senior center and an outdoor recreation area for the former industrial site. ...
