Doraville considers changing government structure By April Hunt The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (GA) February 17, 2010Faced with what would be the state's largest brownfield redevelopment, Doraville has decided it should step up its game. The City Council on Tuesday took the first steps to hiring a city manager, a move officials hope will professionalize city operations as the massive former General Motors plant is redeveloped into shops, housing and offices. And the proposal to switch from a strong mayor form of government to one headed by a city manager came from the man who now leads the northern DeKalb County city of 11,000. ...
