Pomeroy's developers to take on Simon Silk Mill

Mayor says developers have 120 days to offer more formal plans.

Two New Jersey developers behind the redevelopment of the Pomeroy's building in downtown Easton will now try their hand at the Simon Silk Mill, Mayor Sal Panto Jr. said Friday, the latest step toward transforming the city's largest brownfield.

City officials recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Hunterdon County-based Mark Mulligan and William Vogt, who now have 120 days to present more formal plans for the 14-acre industrial site off 13th Street near Bushkill Drive and along the Bushkill Creek, Panto said.

"I believe they're going to be the most committed to our vision," he said.
