DEC certifies Kingston Brownfield cleanup Mid-Hudson News (NY) December 10, 2010KINGSTON - The state Department of Environmental Conservation has certified that the environmental cleanup of the Utility Platers/Kingston Diagnostics site at Washington Avenue and Schwenk Drive in the City of Kingston has been completed satisfactorily. Remedial actions at the site included removal of three underground storage tanks and excavation and off-site disposal of contaminated soils. A site-wide cover system, consisting of clean soil, concrete and asphalt paving, was constructed to prevent exposure to contamination still at the site. ...
