GM officials coming to Ewing to talk about Adelphia tract By JOAN GALLER Trentonian (NJ) February 9, 2011EWING - More than a decade after closing up its Adelphi parts operation, General Motors representatives are coming next week to meet Mayor Bert Steinmann to discuss options for the 80-plus acre tract off Parkway Avenue. Steinmann confirmed last night that GM delegates will meet privately with himself and Business Administrator James McManimon at 9 a.m. Wednesday in town hall. ..."They're finally getting the project moving. It's been a long time since 1996-97, when they tore down the building. Everyone was dragging their feet, and then we had to wait 2 years for GM's bankruptcy settlement. The last time I met with them was in 2007, and then the economy tanked, so we were back to square one, and DEP rules changed." ...
