Macomb Pipe to create 40 new jobs in Sterling Heights By Gordon Wilczynski Mount Clemens Daily Tribune (MI) March 3, 2011The Sterling Heights City Council has unanimously approved a plan for a Brownfield Redevelopment Project by Macomb Pipe & Supply that will retain 107 jobs in the city and create 40 new jobs. ...Margolis told the council his group bought the building in late February and has started the paperwork to be approved for Brownfield tax breaks. Bonner said Macomb Pipes in the process of being approved for a Michigan Tax Credit of 12.5 percent credit on what they spent on cleanup expenses. Bonner said the work will include contaminated ground and water and asbestos from the existing building. He said the cost should be $500,000. ...
