Dolgeville one step closer to marketing former brownfield site By Rob Juteau, GateHouse News Service Little Falls Times (NY) November 22, 2011Dolgeville, N.Y. - The state Department of Environmental Conservation has recommended no further action is needed to clean up the former Silvernail/Vaza property at 102-104 S. Main St. Before the village can begin to market the 0.63-acre site to potential buyers, however, there is still the issue of the close to $100,000 in taxes owed on the parcel. "Hopefully the county, like they did for the North Main Street site, will forgive the taxes on the property,â\" Mayor Bruce Lyon said during Monday nightâs village board of trustees meeting. "Once the county does that, I believe the village will be able to find someone to buy the property. We have already had people express interest the property, so I know buyers are out there." ...
