Former Temco site may get cleanup Environmental study planned for former dry-cleaning company by AKIKO MATSUDA Journal News (NY) April 10, 2012WEST HAVERSTRAW - A property just off Samsondale Avenue long considered an eyesore - and an environmental hazard - may finally get cleaned up under the state Superfund program. The state Department of Environmental Conservation recently announced that a detailed environmental study will soon get under way at the former Temco Uniforms building, which has sat vacant for years. The site is listed in the state Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Sites, also known as the state Superfund sites, and remedial actions are needed. ...
