Sam Adams Expansion Planned For Brownfield Site Brewer Will Transform Environmentally Blighted Area WLWT TV-5 News (Cincinnati, OH) April 19, 2012CINCINNATI -- A brewery plans an expansion that will transform an area of brownfields in the West End. Samuel Adams Brewing will build a $3.6 million expansion at the site of a former dry cleaner and auto repair shop, along with an asbestos- filled abandoned church. "We already removed 7,000 tons of the worst contaminated material that's been removed, and the vapor extraction system that will keep the vapors on site, that would be the primary potential exposure to on-site workers and residents," said geologist Don Fay. ...
