Buyer looms for GM facility by Lou Whitmire Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum (OH) June 20, 2012 |ONTARIO -- A Miami company plans to redevelop the former General Motors Stamping Plant into a modern, multi-tenant facility that would create 1,130 full-time jobs over a five-year period. Thursday night Ontario City Council will vote on a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement with Brownfield Communities Development Company, according to Mark Weidemyre, chairman of the economic development committee. "(Council's Thursday night vote of approval) means should we go forward with the Brownfield group, that authorizes me to sign an agreement with them," Mayor Larry Collins said. "At this point, we don't have the agreement formulated and there's no time limit on that." ...
