By Roberto Acosta Flint Journal (MI) October 30, 2012GRAND BLANC, MI -- A multi-million dollar project is moving forward to demolish and building a new commercial/retail structure on the site of a closed gas station at the corner of Saginaw Street and Grand Blanc Road. City council members approved a brownfield redevelopment plan Tuesday evening as part of a nearly $2.5 million project to construct an 8,800 square-foot, single-story building on Saginaw owned by Grand Blanc Investments, Inc. that would include electric vehicle recharging stations and bus stop. The cleanup at the 11,666 square-foot site is estimated at $886,000, with the project including a second new structure where the closed 1,245 square-foot Executive Travel building located just south of the gas station and donated to the city in 2006 currently stands. ...
