Tainted water raises concerns in Wicomico by Jennifer Shutt Delmarva Now (MD) November 9, 2012SALISBURY - Many Wicomico County residents who have had their groundwater contaminated with an industrial solvent or live in the neighborhood grew more concerned Thursday night after officials with the Maryland Department of the Environment said they believe the chemical has been in the water for at least several years and that it was likely dumped from gallons or drums. The announcement came in the middle of a packed public meeting at Parkside High School on the trichloroethene contamination, where environmental and health officials explained they didn’t yet know where or who contaminated the Morris Mill Road, Colbourne Woods subdivision and sections of Anthony Lane.
