Subject: | [CPEO-BIF] Ambler, Pennsylvania asbestos health study |
[I usually discourage community groups from seeking studies of
apparent residential cancer clusters because the affected population
is usually statistically insignificant and because typical health
endpoints are not unique to the particular exposure. But I point out
that diseases with an exposure fingerprint, such as mesothelioma, can
be studied more conclusively. This study of the birthplace of the
asbestos industry may generate valuable, interesting results. - LS]
