Millsboro: TCE exposure in 2004-05 increases chances of health effects; cancer risk is low Sussex County Post February 13, 2013 MILLSBORO – Millsboro residents exposed to trichloroethylene (TCE) contaminated drinking water between October 2004 and October 2005 may have increased chances of experiencing non-cancer health effects, according to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). In a health consultation released Wednesday, the ATSDR stated that increased cancer risk to residents exposed to TCE in 2004-05 is low, and Millsboro’s current public water supply is safe and poses no harm to people’s health.
