Bayou Woods meadow could become brownfield area By KARI BARLOW Northwest Fllorida Daily News February 14, 2013 FORT WALTON BEACH - The City Council has designated the former dump at the corner of Bayou Woods Drive and Sotir Street has been designated a brownfield area. The brownfield designation - which indicates the presence of hazardous substances, pollutants or contaminants - will allow the city to accept a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to pay for a full environmental assessment of the site. … For the entire article, see http://www.nwfdailynews.com/local/bayou-woods-meadow-could-become-brownfield-area-1.95538 -- Lenny Siegel Executive Director, Center for Public Environmental Oversight a project of the Pacific Studies Center 278-A Hope Street Mountain View, CA 94041 Voice: 650-961-8918 or 650-969-1545 Fax: 650-961-8918 LSiegel@cpeo.org http://www.cpeo.org _______________________________________________ Brownfields mailing list Brownfields@lists.cpeo.org http://lists.cpeo.org/listinfo.cgi/brownfields-cpeo.org | |
