Senior apartment project site soil gets OK, construction beginning By MARY WESTON OrovilleMR News (CA) October 26, 2013OROVILLE - State water quality officials approved the soil remediation at the Orange Tree Senior Apartments construction site on Robinson Street this month. On Oct. 9, the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board issued full clearance for the investigation and corrective action for the underground storage tanks at the PEP Housing Orange Tree Senior Apartments site, according to a city of Oroville press release. The property where the city approved a 50-unit senior housing project was flagged when traces of pesticides were found in the soil. The city fenced off the property in February and hired consultants to test the soil and craft a cleanup plan. ...
