Toxic substances agency sees return of developer interest Ben van der Meer Sacramento Business Journal (CA) October 30, 2013In another sign developers are getting active again, the state Department of Toxic Substances Control reports increasing interest in getting potential sites for construction under compliance for hazardous chemical cleanup. At a 43.5-acre site in Penryn, Environmental Resources Management informed the state in August of plans to further investigate levels of lead, arsenic, DDT and other toxic compounds in the soil. A developer has plans to eventually turn the site, a former orchard at 1797 English Colony Way, into homes, according to the notice to DTSC. ...
