City hall tests negative for PCE By Bennet Goldstein Le Mars Daily Sentinel (IA) February 6, 2014LE MARS -- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has delivered results of air quality tests in a downtown Le Mars building. EPA workers tested the air quality in the city hall and The Asylum center building at 40 Central Ave. S.E. Tests did not detect the presence of cancer-causing air contaminants tetrachloroethylene (PCE) and trichloroethylene (TCE) inside the building. "This building has a clean bill," said City Administrator Scott Langel at a city council meeting Tuesday. The EPA has been investigating the PCE contaminated area in downtown Le Mars since 2011. ...
