NORTON SHORES, MI - The City of Norton Shores has granted the developer of one of the city’s newest eateries with a $10,000 reimbursement for performing environmental remediation work.

The city’s Brownfield Redevelopment Authority on Jan. 27 unanimously approved a $10,000 reimbursement to Firehouse Subs developer Old Bach, LLC for work performed at 3194 Henry St. The money will come from the city’s Local Site Remediation Fund.

Old Bach, which opened the sandwich restaurant in 2013, requested compensation from Norton Shores as part of the city’s Brownfield Environmental Remediation Reimbursement Program.
