New life for North Olean? Public input sought for brownfields By Christopher Michel Olean Times Herald (NY) April 2, 2014OLEAN - Even after decades of virtually no use, a large section of North Olean may play a role in reviving the local economy. For about two hours Tuesday night, officials from Bergmann Associates, a Rochester-based engineering firm, held a workshop at the John J. Ash Community Center on the what the future might hold for the city’s brownfields. The city hired Bergmann in August 2012 as a consultant agency to study the brownfields and their potential reuse.
