Problematic properties being put back to use in Dothan by Jennifer Calhoun Dothan Eagle (AL) August 8, 2014 Friend Bank holds a prominent location at the high-traffic corner of Ross Clark Circle and Highway 84, where a gas station once sat. But because a gas station once sat there, the spot hasn’t always been desirable for businesses. The site is one of several of the city’s former brownfields that have been redeveloped from environmentally-problematic eyesores into prime business locations, said Matt Parker, president of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.
