More cleaning of Olean brownfield site scheduled

OLEAN - Another section of the city’s 500-acre brownfields is in line  
for a cleanup.

But first, state environmental authorities want to hear from the public.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is  
accepting public comment on the proposed cleanup plans for 251 Homer  
St., a 16.68-acre property between abutting Interstate 86. Comments  
will be accepted through Sept. 12.

The property is owned by Homer Street Properties LLC, a company  
belonging to Don Benson. Mr. Benson also owns Benson Construction and  
Development LLC.
