Morris Mill water project moving forward by Phil Davis DelmarvaNow September 16, 201 The saga of cleaning up 270 county residents' polluted supply of water continued Tuesday as the Wicomico County Council received a timetable on a project that would have the Morris Mill community hooked up to Fruitland's public water system by early 2016. After county and state officials found the solvent trichloroethylene in the drinking water of about 270 homes served by private wells, the county is looking to have the $8 million project completed by February or March 2016, according to George, Miles and Buhr engineer Peter Bozick. Bozick said two contracts are currently out to bid to make the project work: One for a distribution system and underground pipelines to run the public water into the homes and another for an elevated water tank. ...
