Expert: Workers need details on Huron TCE vapors Employees at the Huron campus need to be informed about TCE vapors in buildings so they can make their own decisions about exposure risks by Tom Wilber Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin April 9, 2015 ENDICOTT – Employees at the Huron campus, especially women of child-bearing age, need to be informed about TCE vapors in buildings so they can make their own decisions about exposure risks, a national advocate told a community group Thursday. Lenny Siegel, executive director of the Center for Public Environmental Oversight, serves as a liaison with federal and state governments shaping policy and guidelines in communities polluted with trichloroethylene - a toxic and carcinogenic solvent that was commonly used by industry and the military in the Cold War era.
