Cleaning up and redeveloping
formerly used commercial and industrial sites helps create stronger, more livable,
and sustainable communities, which is why ICMA and EPA have sponsored the National Brownfields Conference
since 2003. Brownfields 2015 is the premier conference on economic revitalization
and environmental restoration and will take place in Chicago, IL, September 2-4.
Brownfields
2015 is designed to bring people together from a wide range of fields to learn,
discuss, and take action on redevelopment and revitalization. Stakeholders at
the event will include federal and state agency representatives; private sector
firms and experts; local government elected and appointed officials as well as
thought leaders in planning, urban and rural development, environmental justice,
legal issues, citizen engagement, and much more.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Gain insight into economic
strategies for brownfields redevelopment
- Earn continuing education credits in 150 educational sessions
- Market contaminated properties
to the real estate development industry
- Network with stakeholders from the public, non-profit, and private sectors
- See brownfield transformations
firsthand during mobile workshops
Please visit the conference
webpage for more information.
Housing and registration
