Subject: [CPEO-BIF] New York's new TCE vapor exposure standards

The New York State Department of Health has released three new (August 2015) fact sheets on trichloroethylene (TCE). The state has lowered its chronic TCE exposure standard to 2 micrograms per cubic meter from 5 micrograms per cubic meter, and it has set 20 micrograms per cubic meter as the default level for taking "immediate and effective action" to protect the fetuses of pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy.

See http://www.health.ny.gov/environmental/chemicals/trichloroethene/ . The fourth document dates from 2006.

These new standards could have a significant impact on TCE vapor intrusion response throughout the state.
