The Role of Brownfields Renewal, Workforce Strategies and Entrepreneurship
9:00AM - 3:00PM
This is a hands on learning opportunity for local leaders who are fostering pathways to economic stability and resiliency for legacy communities, places historically affected by brownfields and poverty, health disparities, and unemployment.
Employers, business owners, community leaders, scholars and government officials who work at teh cutting edge will share practical strategies and tools.
Workshop Participants will gian knowlege and learn about best practices, government programs, corporate initiatives, funding and resources.
The training workshop is free-of-charge. Registration is required. | | Brownfields 2015 Conference Join Us In Chicago "Sustainable Communities Start Here" Brownfields 2015 is September 1-4, 2015. This is the 16th annual conference and it will be in Chicago this year. This event is the premier conference and trade show focused on land revitalization, economic development and environmental quality.
It promises to attract community development leaders and stakeholders from across the nation for 3 days of training, networking and business development.

| HMTRI Professional Learning Community The Sustainable Community Development Group team is engaging with the Hazardous Materials Training and Research Institute's national Professional Learning Community, US EPA, Environmental Worker Job Training grantees and prospective job training program grant applicants. Monthly conference calls focus on best job training program practices.

SCDG is a nonprofit leader in sustainable community and economic development technical assistance, project management, training and public policy. Our objective is community revitalization through equitable development, environmental justice and smart growth.
We deliver expertise that advances the mission of community stakeholders, elected officials, governmental agencies and the private sector, academia, public interest groups, foundations and grantees.
