Lower Providence Board of Supervisors reviews proposed home development By Carl Rotenberg Times Herald (PA) October 1, 2015 LOWER PROVIDENCE - Final site plans for a 12-lot single-family development off Cross Keys Road were reviewed Thursday by the board of supervisors. “We are proposing a 12-lot subdivision. There will be a storm water basin. We are planning sidewalks along part of Germantown Pike and along Cross Keys Road,” said Christopher Canavan, the senior vice president of W.B. Homes of North Wales. ... The developer’s plan to deal with trichloroethylene (TCE) contamination in one area of the development was discussed by state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) officials in mid-May with the board and residents. The contamination is located in the northeast corner of the parcel, between the proposed town houses and part of the Superior Tube plant. TCE is a nonflammable, colorless liquid that is used mainly as a solvent.
