EPA Administrator Tells People Near Superfund Site to Stop Living in the Past

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. -- The Environmental Protection Agency met with people who live near the Superfund site at the old CTS plant on Tuesday to discuss cleanup. 

The EPA wants to use a method that would boil the chemical TCE out of the ground. 

The EPA, at this time, wants to remove TCE from one acre, what they call the source.  The people who have been affected by TCE for decades say this interim cleanup plan does not go wide enough, or deep enough.
