EPA: Air levels safe in homes near Superfund site by Tonya Maxwell Asheville Citizen Times (NC) December 8, 2015 ASHEVILLE - A spike in toxic outdoor air levels near the CTS Superfund site has not created problematic air quality inside two nearby homes, an Environmental Protection Agency spokeswoman said Tuesday. A contractor for CTS on Monday reported that the levels of trichloroethylene, better known as TCE, found inside the homes were below the standard that would require relocation of residents, said Davina Marraccini, an EPA spokeswoman.
