$1.3 million brownfield cleanup plan approved for Peabody’s site by Jay Grossman Birmingham Eccentric (MI) May 6, 2016 A $1.3 million brownfield cleanup plan was approved for the Peabody’s Restaurant property, clearing the path for the possible redevelopment of the site. The family-owned restaurant is located at 34965 Woodward Ave., just south of Maple Road in downtown Birmingham. The Southfield-based Alden Development Group wants to develop a five-story building on the property that will include two floors of residential, plus office and retail space and two floors of underground parking.
