Hopewell families win battle for money in toxic water fight by John Ferro Poughkeepsie Journal (NY) September 22, 2016 HOPEWELL JUNCTION - It's been 13 years since residents and businesses along a portion of Route 82 in the Town of East Fishkill learned their well water had been contaminated with toxic chemicals. It's been 11 years since the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency named the area a Superfund site. There have been public meetings and dashed plans, hopes and disappointments.
