The clean-up continues: More details on massive Packard Plant project revealed By Logan T. Hansen MLive (MI) November 30, 2016 DETROIT - A public hearing Tuesday for the redevelopment of the Packard Plant Administration Building gave a glimpse of what the future could hold for the sprawling industrial campus on the city's east side. Redevelopment of the former auto plant is moving forward, with some tenants lined up for the hulking site's former administration building, and developers are working with the Detroit Brownfield Redevelopment Authority to complete necessary revitalization work, said Kari Smith, the project's development director. Speaking in the Detroit office of Arte Express, which has owned the former Packard property since late 2013, Smith said about $4 million has been put into the site to take care of security and safety measures and to combat some contamination issues. ...
