Final Holt, Dickson County landfill lawsuit settled

A settlement of $7,500 each for nine plaintiffs was recently reached as part of a lawsuit originally filed in 2004 by the Lavenia Holt family in connection to the much-publicized Dickson County Landfill contamination claims dating back decades.

The settlement was approved by the county commission last week.

The plaintiffs, who were minors when the suit was originally filed over a decade ago, continued to contend they were exposed to contaminated well water in the Eno Road area neighboring the landfill.
