Companies meeting criteria can get reduced price to build on former GM plant site

WYOMING - Companies considering building at the former site of the GM Stamping Plant in Wyoming will now have a little more incentive do so after the City Council passed a resolution that allows for a streamlined purchasing process and potentially reduced sales prices.

At their meeting on Monday, Feb. 5, the council adopted a resolution that grants City Manager Curtis Holt the authority to enter into purchase agreements and reduce the sales price for potential developments at the site, now known as Site 36 Industrial Park, if they meet certain criteria.

Those criteria are in line with redevelopment goals laid out in an agreement between Wyoming's Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, the city and Franklin Partners LLC dating back to October 2016.
