Crews test soil at future site of four-story apartment complex in Cadillac

CADILLAC - Building on a strong foundation is important, especially if that building will eventually be home to hundreds of people for years to come.

Plans are in the works for a four-story apartment complex at the corner of Mitchell and Cass streets, but first things first: Crews need to determine if the soil is capable of supporting the project.

Downstate developer Robb Munger, who is renovating the Cobbs-Mitchell building and plans to redevelop the old Better Bodies property across the street, is in the process of finalizing funding plans for the complex.
