Grenada polluters misled EPA, ignored effects to community for decades: attorneys by Anna Wolfe Jackson Clarion Ledger (MS) February 20, 2018 A company responsible for toxic contamination at a Grenada manufacturing facility misled the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to avoid anymore costly clean-up, attorneys for neighboring residents allege. Since the 1990's, Meritor Inc. has been tasked with studying the extent of the mess and conducting remediation. In the process, it massaged the language of its reports to the EPA to downplay the potential threat to those living nearby, the attorneys say.
